We live indoor spaces

Our modern lifestyle is not aligned with nature's rhythms. We spend most of our time indoors where artificial lighting has virtually abolished the difference between night and day. Nevertheless, over the last few decades, scientific research has made it clear that light isn't just for seeing, but also for governing how our body works from both the biological and psychological points of view. For this reason, we are introducing innovative solutions to achieve a more comfortable and healthier relationship with the indoor environment we work and live in.

Our Journey So Far

2022

B2 [ LABTECH ] IS FOUNDED

B2 Labtech achieves Innovative Startup status with a clear mission: improving people’s health, wellbeing, and performance in indoor workplaces through an IoT Human-Centric Lighting solution powered by sensors and proprietary AI models, designed to recreate natural-like light indoors.

2023

RESEARCH, IP & FIRST MARKET VALIDATION

May–September 2023 | Applied research + IP protection

  • Launch of a collaboration with the University of Trento – Department of Psychology and Cognitive Science to integrate scientific evidence and measurement methods on how light impacts wellbeing and performance.

  • Progress on IP protection to safeguard the solution’s key components.
     

November 2023 | “Science Impact” funding
Awarded the Science Impact grant by Fondazione VRT, supporting the development phase and technology transfer.
 

December 2023 | Paid pilot project
Delivery of a paid pilot, marking an important milestone: the solution is ready for real operational environments and validated in real-world use.
